Welcome to County Line Elementary School!
Thank you for visiting our website! I am sure you will quickly realize that we are very
proud of our school and even more proud of each and every one our student ‘Critters’!
Since 1915 this school has served Barrow County with a respected tradition of academic excellence and outstanding service to the community. County Line has been recognized as a Georgia School of Excellence, a National Blue Ribbon School, and Redbook Magazine’s America’s Best Elementary School. The Georgia Public Policy Foundation 2002 K-12 Report Card ranked the school in the top 5% of all elementary school in the state based on normed and criterion referenced test results. We also received the 2008 Georgia School Bell Award presented by the Georgia Association of Elementary School Principals for our innovative P.A.W.S. program (Parents Achieving With Students).
County Line’s new facilities were completed in 2004 and currently houses close to
900 students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. We are located approximately seven miles from Interstate 85 and Chateau Élan at the intersection of
Rockwell Church Road and Miles Patrick Road.
The staff is highly supported by a network of very involved parents, grandparents and
other stakeholders including an active PTO and School Council, numerous Partners-In-Education, alumni, former teachers, community volunteers, and a large group of committed and reliable mentors. We are
always open to your ideas and suggestions and encourage you to be an active part of your child’s education.
Our staff is highly qualified and undeniably committed to the children and families we
work with. We consistently research and incorporate the best instructional strategies in order to promote high student achievement and success for each and every child.
I know I am truly blessed each day to be able to come to this school to work and learn
with such a talented and committed staff of professional educators and caring staff members. I strongly believe each one of your children is also!
