The Reading TIC TAC TOE activity is designed to encourage independent reading practice at home and in school. Each student is to select a row or column from the Reading TIC TAC TOE activity sheet to work on. He/she will select chapter books to read according to the genre in each grid, making a total of three books for each of the quarters. After reading a book, students will complete a book report worksheet, have a parent sign the bottom and return it to Mrs. Davidson. If the student is not able to provide detailed answers on the sheet supplied, the student is expected to use another sheet of paper. Students may not include previously read books or books that I have read in class. The idea is not to read easy books to just get the project done but to read books that the student will truly enjoy. This assignment is not optional, but a required part of their reading grade - please stress the importance of this assignment to your child.

Please remember students are not able to turn in more than one book report during any given week. This is to prevent them from turning all their book reports in on the last day.
