Focus on the Future

Each semester the CTAE department (Career Technical Agricultural Education) organizes activities to engage students in thinking about future careers.  Some activities include dressing-up for an interview or wearing the College Spirit of their dream school.  Other activities involve meeting high school students or business professionals to learn more about careers that might interest them.

Eighth grade students take tours of Apalachee High School and the SIMS Academy in preparation for registration for high school classes.  Sometimes students engage in lesson that teach them about the “soft skills” employers expect in employees.
