Substitutes

All substitute applications for the 2011-2012 (current school year) must be submitted by March 01, 2012

Barrow County is dedicated to having a full time, highly qualified teacher in every classroom.  From time to time, we need substitutes to fill in for our full time staff.  To meet our mission, we need our subs to be dedicated to quality education for our students too.  If you are interested in being a substitute teacher, school nutrition, bus driver, etc; please follow the steps below:

1. Click "Apply to Barrow" in the box above of this screen.
2. Click "Register".
3. Follow the directions to complete our online application process for Substitutes.
4. Visit the Jobs section of the application system and apply for substitue positive positions.
    

Sub Workshop Dates 2012 - 2013

You must pre-register, class size is limited.
Sub Workshop must be attended before you fill out application.
Certified Teachers do not attend Sub Workshop.
A non refundable deposit of $10.00 is required for registration. The sub workshops will be conducted at the Professional Development Center located on 179 West Athens Street., Winder, GA. 

Classes will be from 8:30 - 12:30.

Pay Rate

High School Diploma/GED.......$55/Day

Certified or 4 Year Degree....$60/Day

10 or more consecutive days
w/degree................................. $65/Day
w/certification.......................... $70/Day
