HB251 School Choice
Georgia State Law, often referred to as HB 251, gives parents of public school students the option to consider transferring their child to another
school within their district where space is available and parents provide transportation.
Barrow County Schools currently has available space only at the following schools:
Bethlehem Elementary – grade 5
Bramlett Elementary – grades K and 1
Kennedy Elementary – grades 2 and 3
Statham Elementary – grades 4 and 5
Haymon-Morris Middle School – grades 7 and 8
College & Career Preparatory Academy – grades 9 thru 12
Transfer Request Forms are available below or you may pick one up at the Board of Education office. The deadline for all requests is 4:30 PM Monday,
May 23, 2011. Proof of Residency must be attached to all requests and mailed or delivered to:
