Student must be enrolled in the Barrow County School System.
Student must have experienced one full year of high school and earned at least 6 credits.
Student must be in ‘good standing’ at their current high school and highly motivated.
Student must complete an onlinestudent application and have a teacher, guidance counselor or principal submit an online teacher evaluation. If submitting a handwritten application, return the completed application to their high school counselor or submit directly to the PLC. The Teacher’s Evaluation included in the student application must be received before an interview is scheduled. Please be advised that the student’s attendance and discipline records will be reviewed by the faculty/staff of the PLC.
The Academic Coordinator will call parent & student to schedule the onsite interview.
The online BASI assessment will be administered the day of the interview, immediately following the personal interview with PLC faculty/staff. Please allow at least 50 minutes for the BASI portion of the interview process.
The interview team will make the determination of applicant’s acceptance or denial into the program once the interview evaluations and BASI results have been reviewed.
Acceptance or denial letter will be mailed within two weeks of the interview.
