Parents
Here at Statham Elementary we love our parent involvement. After many years of intense effort to increase parent
involvement in schools, the results are beginning to come in. The news is good for schools where parent involvement is high, and the benefits for children are encouraging. When parents are involved in
children’s schools and education, children have higher grades and standardized test scores, improved behavior at home and school, and better social skills and adaptation to school.
Partners In Education
What is PIE? A voluntary relationship between a business or civic organization who partners with a school for at least one
year. The program meets the educational needs of children by giving them a real world perspective on the subjects they study in school. Partners help "share the load" with our educators and
community. Partners In Education is affiliated with the Georgia State Partners in Education. Each year members can nominate businesses that achieve recognition; Barrow County Partners have won the
state award 5 times in the last ten years!
