Parents, we are still having a problem with students wearing improper footwear on PE days. Remember, only sneakers or tennis shoes with closed backs are acceptable. No sandals, clogs, open backed shoes, dress shoes, or boots are permitted. Flip flops, although in style, are extremley danerous and also not permitted in Physical Education.

Although Heely’s (shoes with wheels on them) are permitted at school, they are unacceptable for physical education. We have witnessed many injuries, several serious, becuase of their use. The fact that the wheels have been removed or are raised makes little difference. Running in those types of shoes is comparable to running on platforms. Children will no longer be permitted to participate in those shoes.
