Executive Summary:
My educational philosophy
encompasses my belief that a successful school system establishes and maintains a safe, nurturing, and balanced learning environment that
recognizes each student has the right to learn. The system creates a professional learning community that supports continuous professional
growth and encourages "out of the box" thinking. Successful organizations utilize a systemic process that provides leaders with the tools and
resources to develop exemplary teaching and learning practices. Exemplary practices include the following:
Establishment of vision, mission, and belief statements;
- Data driven decision making;
- Strategic planning with measurable goals;
- Implementation of standards-based classrooms that elicit student engagement;
- A focus on each student by providing tiered interventions based on need;
- A commitment to ensure organizational effectiveness; and
- A dedication to collaborate in and among schools as well as with the community.
Additionally,
as one of the focal points of a thriving community, a successful school system plays an integral part in maintaining economic growth by providing
highly educated graduates prepared for post-secondary studies and/or the workforce.
