Principal Message- Dr. Al Darby
Welcome to the web site of Winder-Barrow High School.
As we begin a new school year the rich history of pride and tradition that permeates throughout our school and community will be our guiding force. We want to continue the journey of success by setting the standards high for our students in academic excellence and extracurricular involvement. Our faculty and staff are committed to concentrating on student success in the classroom, in the hallways, in extracurricular activities and to prepare students for the world of college and work. With that, we want to build strong character in all our students.
Our commitment to excellence has been proven through the philosophy of our spelling in the "Bulldogg" mascot. The extra "G" sets WBHS apart from any other academic institution and just as that extra "G" signifies, our students and faculty exemplify everyday the meaning of "extra effort.” We are very proud of the successes that are created each day at WBHS where we are always "Improving Minds, Improving Lives.” During the 2011-2012 school year, we will achieve expectations beyond those set by students, parents and teachers. Each day’s success will exemplify the true “GG” effort! The faculty and staff look forward to a productive year for all and are prepared to watch students grow and mature over the years. Welcome to Winder-Barrow High School. I look forward to a successful and memorable school year.
Sincerely,
 Al Darby, Ed.D., Principal, al.darby@barrow.k12.ga.us
