WINDER-BARROW HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS LEAVE IT ALL ON THE FIELD AND BECOME SCHOOL WINNERS IN WENDY’S HIGH SCHOOL HEISMAN

There are some students who set the bar. They work harder, show more passion and lead by example—in the  classroom, on the field and within the community. Today, Wendy’s High School Heisman recognizes Ashley   Everett and Parks Jordan from Winder-Barrow High School and their dedication to never cutting corners by naming them School Winners.

“These students are known by their teachers and friends for their commitment to excellence. We are excited and honored that a program like Wendy’s High School Heisman is also recognizing their “GG” effort,” said Dr. Al Darby, Principal

If you are unfamiliar with this organization it is the Hispanic Organization Promoting Education and we have 70+ members here at WBHS.  It was created in 2015 to promote educational attainment, personal character and leadership skills, cultural awareness and tolerance, and community involvement.  It started as an organization tailored towards increasing the graduation rate and college enrollment amongst the Hispanic population, but has since grown to include any student interested in bettering themselves and their community.
