The Winder Barrow High School Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corp was established in the fall of 2009 by MAJ Tom Evans and 1SG Frank Brown.  Enrollment for the 2011/2012 is approximately 167 cadets, most of whom are academic freshmen.  WBHS is located in Winder, GA, approximately 40 miles NE of Atlanta and 20 miles west of Athens.

 

 

Battalion Updates

        

   Drill Updates:

The drill team will be competing at the state drill meet on March 23rd at Griffin High School.

Drill Practice:

   Practice will be Monday-Thursday, 3:15-4:30 unless otherwise stated. You can click on the drill team link for this year's schedule.

 

Community Service Projects:

Cadets are working to raise donated items for wounded soldiers currently hospitalized at Walter Reed Hospital. They are also asking for donations for residents of Winder Healthcare Center. A list of needed items will be sent home with each cadet. Donations will be collected in the JROTC Department.

 

Rifle Practice:
