8th Grade

We are in the home stretch.  High school is practically around the corner.  However, there is one small thing that your eighth grade student must take care of, the CRCT.  Every teacher has worked hard to cover the standards that will be on the test, and your child is prepared. Students have also reviewed test taking strategies. We ask that you make sure your child gets plenty of rest and eats a good breakfast everyday of testing.  Most importantly, we ask that you encourage your child to do his or her BEST, and tell them that they will succeed on the CRCT.  The CRCT will be administered April 4 – 10. We are very proud of our eighth grade students and look forward to seeing them do their best on the CRCT.

After the CRCT, it is extremely important that our students stay focused on school.  Please remind your child that school is not over after the CRCT, and it is necessary that they finish the year strong.

All eighth grade teachers will be preparing their students for ninth grade by previewing ninth grade curriculum.  Most subjects have many projects and hands-on activities planned that will keep your child engaged in their learning throughout the rest of the year.  Thanks for your support.

Congratulations to the WMS 8th Grade for
maintaining the MGWA pass rate at 90%.
