Laura Navarro Etheridge

Laura became part of the Barrow Bold family in 2021. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work, Master of Social Work, and a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from the University of Georgia and is a proud Georgia Bulldog. Laura previously worked as a bilingual medical social worker for Northeast Georgia Health System and as a school social worker at Gainesville City Schools. She has a passion for social work, both professionally and personally. Laura is a proud daughter of immigrant parents, bringing awareness to language barriers, cultural norms, and difference in family dynamics. She is a compassionate advocate for our students and families.

Laura was born and raised in Long Beach, California, but has called Georgia home for over a decade. She enjoys spending time traveling with her spouse and their two energetic children. Laura currently serves as the Feeding Barrow Coordinator and as Past President for the School Social Workers Association of Georgia - District 9.

Laura serves Yargo Elementary, Haymon-Morris Middle and Apalachee High School.
