Stephanie Atkinson

Hi! My name is Stephanie T. Atkinson. This school year will be my twenty-fourth year teaching, and I am proud to say that I have always taught in Barrow County. I began my first three years teaching at Winder-Barrow High School before transferring to Apalachee High School when it opened its doors in 2000. I currently teach various levels of 10th World Literature, which encompasses phenomenal texts ranging from Shakespeare's The Tragedy of Julius Caesar to Elie Wiesel's Night. I am also Apalachee's sponsor for the Governor's Honors Program (GHP).

Since the beginning of my career, I have married my husband, Jason, established our home in Bethlehem, and given birth to my two kind-hearted, handsome sons, Jacob and Chase. I wholeheartedly believe that accomplishment is ten percent of what you know and ninety percent of work ethic, which is my classroom philosophy.
