Dr. Simpson is very excited and honored to serve as the principal of Barrow County’s Innovation Campus, including Sims Academy of Innovation & Technology and the Barrow Arts & Sciences Academy (BASA).
Prior to becoming an educator, he worked in sales and management for several national telecommunications companies. When he felt a strong call to make a more meaningful impact on his community, he pursued his teaching certification and degree at The University of Georgia. Dr. Simpson then began his work as a career and technical education teacher in Fulton and Jackson counties.
He believes that relationships are critical to our work as educators and leaders.
Dr. Simpson and his wife, Christy, have four children: Reace, Tinley, Bella Kate, and Emery.
