Hope Q. Bush is originally from St. Louis, Missouri. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Healthcare Administration in 1998 from Southern Illinois University. She also earned a Master of Arts Degree in Teaching and an Education Specialist in Educational Leadership from Webster University. She is currently pursuing doctoral studies in Teacher Leadership at Walden University.

Ms. Bush served 9 years as a general education and special education teacher on the primary and secondary grade levels in various Missouri school systems after serving 6 years in the United States Navy. Her most current assignment was at County Line Elementary School where she served as a Special Education Teacher and Department Chair of Special Education. While at County Line Elementary, she created a mentor/mentee group, book club, and lunch club to provide students’ academic, social, and emotional support. Ms. Bush is enthusiastic and eager to serve as a Special Education Teacher and Department Chair of Special Education at Barrow Arts and Science Academy.

Ms. Bush resides in Winder with her mother Geraldine and son Elijah.
