Ms. Kelly Curran

HS Math Teacher

Kelly Curran grew up in Athens, GA and graduated from Clarke Central High School. She attended the University of North Georgia where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration as well as a Master of Public Administration. While at North Georgia, Kelly captained the women’s soccer team and later served as an assistant coach.
Before pursuing secondary education, Kelly worked in the Office of Admissions at Georgia Gwinnett College and taught a freshman seminar class. During her time at GGC, she completed her Post-Baccalaureate degree in Education and is currently certified in Math 6-12, Middle Grades Math, Middle Grades Reading, and holds a Gifted Certification.
Prior to Barrow County, Kelly taught middle and high school math in Cobb County for 9 years, where she also served as department head and as a county Professional Learning Community lead. She has recently moved back to Athens and is excited and honored to work with BASA students this year! While Kelly no longer plays soccer, she still has a passion for staying active. When she is not in the classroom, Kelly enjoys running, spending time with her family, and cheering on the Dawgs and Five Stripes!
