Rob Simpson is a native of North Atlanta but has lived in the Athens area since 1998. After 18 years in food service and supply chain logistics, he redirected and earned his degree in Social Studies Education from The University of Georgia in 2010. He is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of North Georgia.

Mr. Simpson began his education career as a mentor and substitute teacher and moved into a position as academic interventionist at Clarke Middle School in 2013. He continued to teach math and social studies there for four more years before transitioning to Haymon-Morris in Barrow County. Mr. Simpson is an avid cyclist and runner. He’s assisted with the cross country program every year he’s worked in schools and is very excited to be the head coach of BASA’s cross country team.

Mr. Simpson and his wife, Sarah, have two sweet but silly girls, Hannah and Ella.
