Dr. Lathan Pooser
Assistant Principal - BASA
Dr. Lathan Pooser is a native of Orangeburg, South Carolina. In 2005, he received his Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Furman University (GO PALADINS!). He also holds a Master of Arts in School Leadership from Furman University and an Education Specialist in Educational Leadership from Liberty University. He completed his doctoral studies in Educational Leadership from Liberty University.
Dr. Pooser served 12 years as a music educator and basketball coach in various South Carolina school systems. His most recent appointment was at Greater Atlanta Christian School, where he served as the School of Music Director. While there, he was instrumental in implementing educational opportunities for music students through community partnerships. Dr. Pooser is excited and honored to serve as assistant principal for Barrow County’s Innovation Campus.
He lives in Hoschton with his wife Taniesha, who serves as an assistant principal for Gwinnett County Public Schools.
