Amy Burns

Special Education Paraprofessional

This will be my 16th year working as a Parapro at Bramlett. Before becoming an employee here I was a stay at home mom. I do hate that description because if you know me I did everything but stay home. My 4 children all attended Bramlett where I volunteered for many positions. I went from room mom to serving on many committees and held several positions on PTO. My husband and I were both leaders of the Boy Scout Troop here while our son attended Bramlett. I also served on the Parent Advisory Committee. All of my children attended Winder Barrow High School and attended College. My oldest works and lives in Atlanta. She is a graduate of UGA. My second daughter graduated from UNG and is PE coach with Gainseville City Schools. My son recently got married to the girl of his dreams and is a car salesman in Cumming. Finally my youngest will be graduating next year from UGA following in her big sister’s footsteps. She hopes to be an English Professor. I have been happily married to John Burns for 30 years. I have four grand fur babies. I am originally from Miami , Florida and have lived in Georgia for 25 years but still long for the beaches of my hometown.
