Fifth Grade Teacher

Mrs. Pinson is a teacher who works with 5th graders to become more knowledgeable about the world around them in every subject and truly prepared for the transition to middle school.

Michele knows every child can learn, and it’s the teacher’s job to best support that student so that they achieve their goals. Her goal of becoming an educator came from her fifth grade teacher who made teaching and learning fun and interesting for the whole class.

Michele has been teaching since 1998  in grades 4-7. She has presented at the Children’s Literature Conference in Athens, has hosted many student teachers and interns, and was recognized as a Barrow County Teacher Leader for the year 2018-2019 in STEAM activities.

Michele is gifted certified, as well as certified to teach K-8 with concentrations in language arts and science for grades 4-8, has a masters degree in Reading and Literacy, and a specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

Michele holds a bachelor's degree from Brenau University, masters degree from Walden University, and specialist degree from Piedmont college.
