Sandy (Sandra) Crane

Sandy (Sandra) Crane

EIP Teacher

Hello! My name is Sandra Crane. I’ve been teaching for 24 years and have been at Yargo Elementary School since the doors opened in 1999. So…I am an Original Patriot AND a Wildcat!

I moved to Athens, Georgia in 1992 so I could attend the University of Georgia. Go Dawgs! There, I received a Bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Sciences (Interior Design). Later, I obtained a Master’s and Specialist degree in Early Childhood Education. I have been a Title 1 teacher, taught first and second grade, and now work with EIP students. This will be my second year as an EIP teacher serving kindergarten, first and second graders. I love to see their cute little faces!

I look forward to a great year of learning, overcoming challenges, slow-and-steady growth, and most importantly…fun!

I am married to my wonderful husband, Shelby. Our beautiful seven-year-old daughter, Keeley, will be in second grade this year at Yargo. We have a colorful Betta fish named Moonlight. In our spare time my family likes to swim at the pool, ride our bikes, play board games, engage in arts and crafts, and shop at antique stores. We also love spending time with our family and friends!

P.S. I have a twin sister who teaches second grade at Yargo. Her name is Mrs. McGowan. I wonder if you will be able to tell us apart??? Good luck
