Meals for children

The end of the 2019-2021 school year means changes to how our Barrow County School Nutrition team will be distributing meals at no cost for children.

For Friday, May 8 and Tuesday, May 12, 2020, our drive-through meals at Apalachee and Winder-Barrow and deliveries will continue as they've been from 9am-2pm. See menu.

On Friday, May 152020, drive-through and deliveries will be distributed for May 15, 18, 19 and 20.

From May 21-May 25, 2020, there will be no meal service offered. 

From May 26-June 30, 2020, only drive-through service will be available. There will be no home or neighborhood deliveries. You may pick up bagged meals (bags include breakfast and lunch) weekdays from 9am-1pm at Winder Elementary and Haymon-Morris Middle.

Per USDA guidelines:

  • Meals will only be available for children 18 and under in the automobile
  • 1 meal bag per child per day
  • Parents will not be allowed to pick up meal bags for children who aren’t with them
  • No adult meals will be available
