Purpose: Quiz bowl competition
Activities: Northeast Georgia RESA Academic Bowl, independent quiz bowl tournaments. GATA Varsity State and JV State tournaments

Purpose: Art Club’s mission is to be a community and safe space for all students of all skill levels who love to create!
Activities: Each week we participate in creative visual art projects involving crafts and practicing art making skills.

Purpose: Students will have fun making new friends while learning a lifelong skill that can be passed down for generations. We will focus on competition-style barbeque and be competing against the professionals!
Activities: Students will learn how to trim, prepare, and cooks BBQ meats from professionals through live demonstrations, participate in practice cooks, sell BBQ for fundraisers, and compete in an overnight competition against professional pitmasters!

Purpose: Service to the AHS Community
Activities: Adopt a Teacher, Reading to Elementary Students, Providing Support for Band Study Hall.

Purpose: To have fun, learn chess, and play!
Activities: Come play chess for 1 hour in Ms. Lehner's Room (2.144) from 3:30 - 4:30pm on Tuesdays

Purpose: To raise awareness of climate issues and complete projects that support the environment
Activities: We have done campus cleanup and sold endangered animal plushies. The de facto president is interested in getting composting bins in the cafeteria, having a field day, and generally getting kids excited about the club.

Purpose: The mission of eSport is to build teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking.
Activites: A fun environment where students can experience new games and new level of competition.
Advisor: Marcus DeYoung
Purpose: An interdenominational Christian sports ministry to see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. To lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.
Activities: Guest speakers from local churches and CFA biscuits or Dunkin Donuts provided for those in attendance. Morning meetings once a week.

Purpose: HoPe is a nonprofit movement dedicated to increasing the graduation rate among Hispanic high school students through leadership development, educational resources and community service. HoPe exists to build communities for high school students to succeed, find their purpose, and be world class leaders. The club is completely led by student leaders who are briefed by the outside organization of HoPe. HoPE is You Belong Here. Always Have. Always Will.
Activities: Community Service projects and meetings

Purpose: Celebrate cultures around the world and celebrate diversity within our school
Activities: We focus on a different culture at each monthly meeting, which includes learning cultural facts, playing traditional games, and sampling traditional foods. We try to go on at least one field trip a year to expand cultural awareness (We have been to Japan Fest, Highland Games, Helen, Cherry Blossom Festival, etc.). We host International Night, which is a showcase of student performances representing diverse cultures and a buffet of International foods to sample.

Purpose: Promote and encourage kindness, empathy, and compassion in order to create a positive school enviroment.
Purpose: Our purpose is to learn a skill that you can use to keep yourself warm and to gift others the gift of warmth.
Activities: You will learn how to knit, and have a support system in regards to that as well.
Advisors: Omeed Behzadi
Purpose: To engage students in creating and presenting both criminal and civil cases from the prosecution/plaintiff side and the defense. To hone both their public speaking skills and their acting ability. IF students aspire to be a lawyer or if they just like to argue then this is the place to do it!
Activities: We will meet weekly ( on Wednesdays) to discuss cases and trial strategy. We will have an attorney coach and guest speakers to assist is learning how to create a solid argument. We will attend regional competition at UGA in February. Depending on our performance, there is the possibility of state or national competition.

Purpose: To compete in events literary in nature (Extemporaneous Speaking, Dramatic Events, Vocal Events, and Essay Writing)

Purpose: We are dedicated to inspiring a keen interest in mathematics, developing strong scholarship in the subject, and promoting the enjoyment of mathematics.
Activities: Tutoring, math competitions, and investigations into mathematical topics

Purpose: Encourage and recognize scientific excellence between the student and community.
Activities: Participate in community service(Rivers Alive, school wide clean up, peer tutoring). Science trivia games, design challenges, experiments.

Purpose: NTHS Mission To honor student achievement and leadership in career and technical education, promote educational excellence, award scholarships, and enhance career opportunities for the NTHS membership.
Activities: Monthly Meetings; Community Service projects; Leadership Training.

Purpose: Our mission is to build one-to-one friendships between people with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), offering social interactions while improving the quality of life for all students through their participation with meaningful connections with their peers. Students will gain self-confidence and self-esteem, and share interests, experiences and activities that many other individuals enjoy.
Activities: A monthly meeting with their peers to include games and socialization activities. Throughout the year they will have the opportunity to assist with special events such as Special Olympics and dances for students with special needs.

Purpose: Student Council serves as an opportunity for students to represent their classmates and their interests while developing leadership and organizational skills.
Activities: Organizing school events like homecoming, spirit week, and powderpuff.

Purpose: To provide opportunities for students to engage in theatre
Activities: 2-3 plays a year, social activities, the annual thespian conference

Purpose: The Tri-M Music Honor Society is a program of the National Association for Music Education, which focuses on creating future leaders in music education and music advocacy. Tri-M recognizes students that have gone above and beyond both academically and musically.
Activities: Members participate in monthly after-school meetings in which they organize music-related community service projects. Our Tri-M chapter consists of students from band, chorus, and musical theatre classes with an interest in gaining leadership and service experience. They also like to party and make music together.
