St. Patrick's Day FUN!

St. Patrick's Day Fun at KES!

Check out what our students did on St. Patrick's Day!

Students at KES participated in AMAZING activities on St. Patrick's day!  We held our PBIS DANCE party today, which also happens to be Mr. Butcher's birthday!

Pre-K Students searched high and low for the naughty leprechaun!

Kindergarten students read the book, “How to Trap a Leprechaun”.  Then they planned and designed their own leprechaun traps. When they came in from recess, the leprechaun had messed up their classroom and left each student their own pot of gold!

Students also enjoyed gold cookie snacks in 1st grade.  First Graders also ate pots of gold (Apple Jacks) while writing about what they would do if they found a REAL pot of gold!  Students would purchase private jets, private islands, give the money to their mothers, and buy candy and toys.  They also learned an Irish jig and graphed Lucky Charms Marshmallows.

2nd Grade students created awesome pieces of writing for St. Patrick's Day!

4th Grade students enjoyed a donut treat and dressed in green!

5th Grade students learned about mixtures and solutions with Lucky Charms and Crystal Light drink mixes.  They then sorted and graphed their Lucky Charms mixtures and created fractions for their distribution of marshmallows.  5th Graders also used their super sharp reading skills to complete a St. Patrick's Day escape game where they had to save their town!
