Title IX Rights Notice
(1) The District has designated the following person as its Title IX Coordinator:

(2) Any person may report sex discrimination, including sexual harassment (whether or not the person reporting is the person alleged to be the victim of conduct that could constitute sex discrimination or sexual harassment), in person, by mail, by telephone, or by electronic mail, using the contact information listed above for the Title IX Coordinator, or by any other means that results in the Title IX Coordinator receiving the person’s verbal or written report. Such a report may be made at any time (including during non-business hours) by using the telephone number or electronic mail address, or by mail to the office address, listed for the Title IX Coordinator.
(3) The District does not discriminate on the basis of sex, and it is required by Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972 and the federal regulations promulgated thereunder not to discriminate in such a manner. This requirement extends to admission and employment, and inquiries about the application of Title IX may be referred to the District’s Title IX Coordinator, to the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights of the United States Department of Education, or both.
(4) The District has adopted and published grievance procedures that provide for the prompt and equitable resolution of student and employee complaints alleging any action that would be prohibited by Title IX.
(a) A complaint of sex discrimination or harassment (other than a formal complaint of sexual harassment) may be reported verbally or in writing to the Title IX Coordinator by any of the means describes in item (2) above.
(b) A formal complaint of sexual harassment is a document filed by a complainant or signed by the Title IX Coordinator alleging sexual harassment against a respondent and requesting that the recipient investigate the allegation of sexual harassment. (c) The District will respond to a complaint of sex discrimination or harassment (other than a formal complaint of sexual harassment) in accordance with Policies JAA Equal Educational Opportunities and GAAA Equal Opportunity Employment. The District will respond to a formal complaint of sexual harassment in accordance with Policies JCAC Sexual Harassment of Students and GAEB Sexual Harassment of Employees.
