Instructional Technology

The Instructional Technology mission focuses on promoting the effective and meaningful use of technology to create engaging learning opportunities, which supports student achievement and is aligned with the ISTE Standards for Students and Teachers.

How The Mission is Accomplished:

  • Providing professional learning opportunities that advance the technology literacy skills of teachers and students, with an emphasis on the 4 C's of 21st Century Learning
  • Aligning the focus of instructional technology support and coaching with school and system learning goals
  • Facilitating the acquisition of school and district technologies
  • Supporting school-based Digital Coaches who provide targeted professional learning and support through training, modeling, and coaching; and
  • Exploring new and existing educational technology resources to:
    • Improve and differentiate instruction
    • Expand learning opportunities, and
    • Actively engage our students in authentic uses of technology

  • Students demonstrating learning through the creation of digital products with an emphasis on:
    • Authentic and meaningful uses of technology
    • Voice and Choice in how students demonstrate their learning
