The Technology Competition will be held during the month of  March 2021. The Barrow County School System Technology Competition is affiliated with the Georgia Student Technology Competition, whose vision, through a statewide competition, is to challenge and empower students to become leaders in the digital age. The Barrow County School System technology competition is open to all BCSS students in grades 3-12.

Barrow County Student Technology Competition Participants

We are holding an invitation-only awards ceremony for students who placed 1st -3rd in the Programming Challenge and for students whose projects placed 1st - 3rd.  The ceremony will be held April 1st at 6:00 PM.  Students are notified by email Friday, March 26th if their project scored in the top 3 for their category and division.  If you are invited but are unable to attend, the ceremony will be recorded and your award and certificate will be sent to your school for you to receive after Spring Break.


The programming challenge will be held remotely. However, no video submission will be required for this. Students in this category will receive information specific to the virtual programming competition soon.

Links to video presentations will be submitted through a Google Form. There will be a one week judging period beginning after the student submission window closes.

Please read all Virtual Submission Guidelines before beginning work on your submission. After all judging has been completed, 1st place project winners will be posted on the Barrow County Student Technology Competition website and will be advanced to the State competition.
