After reading Balloons Over Broadway: The True Story of the Puppeteer of Macy's Parade by Melissa Sweet, Mrs. Durkit's 4th graders created their own parade balloon designs. While practicing our Skill of the Week- working together, students had to use materials given to them to create a design that would stand up as if it were in an actual parade.
