Cloverforce #48816 presents their innovative solution to community leaders

The First Lego League team, Cloverforce #48816, is gearing up for their Super Regional Tournament at Athens Academy on Saturday, Jan. 18th. The Cloverforce team has chosen to tackle the problem of traffic congestion in Barrow County. They have pinpointed several solutions and have consulted many community leaders for their feedback on their ideas. On Thursday, Jan. 16th, the Cloverforce presented their newly revised innovative solution to this problem: A gondola! They feel a gondola that travels from Jug Tavern Park to Fort Yargo and also then to the Exchange would help to raise citizens and visitors above the traffic and the train, providing an innovative solution to traffic congestion that could also attract tourists to Winder, further supporting our local businesses. They presented to members of the Barrow Chamber of Commerce, the Fort Yargo State Park manager, Chairman of the Barrow County Board of Education, Chairman of the Barrow Community Foundation, and a member of the Winder Zoning and Planning Committee.

In addition to their innovative project idea, Cloverforce will also present their robot design to judges and compete in a "core values" activity. One of the most exciting parts of the competition is the Robot Table competition. Members of the team have worked very hard on programming their robot, Billybob, to complete the various robot table missions in order to earn the most points.

If you see any of our Cloverforce members (Ethan Y., Ky'Rei B., Jackson C., Coy H., Gannon H., Austen N., Jordan N., Alexis M., Logan B. from BCMS, and Milly M. from WMS), please wish them luck as they compete at Super Regionals tomorrow! Good luck, Cloverforce!
