Assign meaningful homework that emphasizes skills being taught in the classroom
Communicate homework assignments through the use of newsletters, homework sheets, or agendas
Assign daily reading (book, magazine, recipe, etc.) with support from parent/guardian as needed
Check homework for completion and understanding
Believe homework promotes student responsibility and missing assignment will result in consequences
Assign appropriate amounts of homework based on your child’s grade level
