My name is Kirk Schwarzenbach, otherwise known as Mr. Kirk. This is my 12th year of teaching.  I have taught math specials, PreK, 2nd, 3rd, 4th grades, and special education. Prior to teaching, I was in children’s ministry and multi-media production.  I have a wife and four children.  My undergraduate degree is from UGA in technical drama and my master’s degree is from Piedmont College in Early Childhood Education. I am certified in both general education Prek through 5th grade and in special education and I have the gifted endorsement.  My favorite color is purple and dark chocolate is my favorite candy.

I believe the education of students is a four-way partnership between the student, the parents, the general education teacher, and the special education teacher. Please encourage your child at home to share the interesting skills learned at school. Good communication between parent, teachers, and student is very important to your child’s academic growth and self-confidence.  One of our goals is to help students become independent workers, so students are learning how to organize their thoughts and ideas as well as becoming responsible for learning the new and challenging skills introduced.
