We are so thankful at Yargo for a community that invests in the next generation by supporting our school!
Volunteering
Yargo is actively recruiting mentors! For more information, visit the Mentor Program page. Mentors will be paired with a Yargo student. We would love to have interested community members join us to encourage and support our students. Mentors come once a week during school hours, or in some cases may visit with their mentee during the after school program.
If you would like to volunteer in other ways, please reach out to our PTO.
Donations
Our school will gladly accept all donations and ensure they go directly towards helping students learn. You may wish to contact your child's teacher directly for a specific classroom needs list. As a school we currently have extra need for:
- Wipes
- Kleenex
- Composition notebooks
- Expo Markers (chisel tip)
- Pencil Sharpeners
- Headphones for student use
- Highlighters
- 2-Pocket folders with clasps
- Gallon bags
The counseling department specifically appreciates donations of travel size personal hygiene supplies.
Barrow County School System also uses the app "Purposity" to meet specific needs of our community. You can join the app to help the county with purchasing one-time needs for individual students and families.
