SkillsUSA Region Competition

On January 27, 2022, twenty Apalachee High School students along with advisors Amanda Pugh and William Wingfield attended the in-person SkillsUSA Georgia Region 2 Competitions at the North Georgia Technical College in Clarkesville, Georgia. This year, our members competed in 9 out of 22 competitions held at the Region Competitions.

We are so proud of our members and their leadership abilities. Johanna Cardona and Hailey Ruiz announced the winners at the Closing Session. Cyara Bradford; Tina Do; Jorge Mancillas; Joy Oladosu; Cynthia Quartermaine and Ka’Niyah Swan demonstrated professionalism by awarding contestants with medals and plaques on-stage. A special thank you to Mr. Wingfield’s Audio Video Tehncology and Film members, Cheyenne Yang for taking photographs and videos at the competitions. This event is a group effort and it is amazing to see our students support one another.
