State School Superintendent Richard Woods named 239 Advanced Placement (AP) Honor Schools in 88 districts for 2022.
Apalachee and Winder-Barrow High School were both named as 2022 AP STEM Schools.
The 2022 AP Honor Schools are named in eight categories, based on the results of 2021 AP courses and exams. A list of categories is below and a full list of schools in each category is linked in the description.
AP exams are administered by the College Board, which also administers the SAT. AP courses are one of several ways Georgia students can access college-level learning at the high school level; students who receive a 3, 4, or 5 on an AP exam may receive college credit.
