Author visits Advanced Comp
Mr. Shull's Advanced Composition class had a virtual class visit with Alda P. Dobbs, author of Barefoot Dreams of Petra Luna on 13 April. Throughout the visit, she shared with students her family history that inspired the story of immigrating across the Mexican desert during the Mexican Revolution. Her harrowing and hopeful book was included in the 2022-2023 Texas Bluebonnet Award Master List; it is one of twenty books on the list composed of titles from creative, talented and diverse authors.
