Apalachee High School would like to recognize Joseph Elisea as the Apalachee Chamber of Commerce Senior of the Month for April 2024. It takes only a few minutes with Joseph to realize how talented he really is.
Joseph has a 95 Cumulative GPA. He will have taken 12 Honors/Accelerated classes along with 6 Dual Enrollment classes through Georgia Gwinnett College when he walks across the stage in 17 days as an Apalachee Honors Graduate.
Joseph has been selected as Senior of the Month for his exceptional dedication and commitment both inside and outside the classroom. Joseph’s Spanish class teacher, Ms. Jennifer Carter, state that “Over the course of three semesters in Spanish 2 Honors to Spanish 4 Honors, Joseph has consistently exhibited a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn. His participation and contributions enriched class discussions and inspired his peers. Beyond academics, Joseph is a valuable asset to Apalachee’s soccer team, where he demonstrates the same level of dedication and effort, always giving his all on the field. His determination, positive attitude, and unwavering commitment to excellence make him a deserving recipient of this recognition.”
Joseph’s Varsity Soccer Coach, Vegas McCain, states that Joseph ‘is a hardworking individual with an awesome sense of humor. His best quality is that no matter what, he never gives up and always gives his best.”
Joseph represents the best qualities of our Barrow Community- Driven, Goal Oriented, and Involved. As an elementary school student at Yargo Elementary, Joseph set goals of becoming a high school graduate that left a mark on our school. Joseph has more that succeeded. Joseph is an Honors Graduate, Varsity Soccer player, College Student and employee in our community.
Joseph’s plans on continuing his college career at GGC, where he will be a sophomore in the fall and major in business. Joseph’s next goal in life is to be an entrepreneur, starting his own construction or landscaping business after college. He will succeed, and we hope he chooses to return to Barrow County when he reaches those goals.
