Michele Gerely

Although I began teaching in 1997 at WBHS, Apalachee High School has been my home since it opened in 2000, and I am a proud Wildcat! As a fierce supporter of public education, I believe that ALL students deserve the opportunity to improve their lives by developing their minds and by growing as independent thinkers. Education really does open doors.

My passion is culture...I want to learn about other people and places, and if possible, travel the world (by plane, car, or a good book). If people could spend a little time trying to understand each other, the world would be a better place. For this reason, I also co-sponsor the International Club here at AHS, and we explore a new culture each month (through guest speakers, native foods, games, music, dance, etc.). When I'm not at AHS, I love spending time with my husband and three children.
