Brooke Lewis-Slamkova

I have been teaching at Apalachee High School for 19 years. I am so excited to grow the Food and Nutrition pathway. We will be working in the school garden and with local food producers to deepen our knowledge of where food comes from and how we can make healthy choices for ourselves and family. I recently spoke on behalf of GACTE conference to FACS teachers in the state about incorporating the school garden in the curriculum. When I'm not teaching, my husband and four kids can be found on our micro-farm in Barrow County.
