Congratulations to our 7Mindsets Models of the Month for August 2021! These Blazers have really been shining on our campus this month.
Anna was nominated by Mr. Schuff for representing these mindsets: Passion First, 100% Accountable, Attitude of Gratitude. Here's what Mr. Schuff had to say: Anna is a student that I have in my CREW and in my World Geography class, and she could not be a better candidate for the 7Mindsets Model of the Month. Anna has a fearlessness to her in everything she does that is infectious to those around her. She is a proven leader in the classroom and one of the most dedicated students I've had the pleasure to teach. She holds on to her passions tightly and integrates them into her classwork effortlessly. She is a role-model when it comes to group-work and is someone you can always rely on, both academically and personally. Anyone she talks to is at ease and an instant friend. Through it all, she remains humble and appreciative of every opportunity she gets. I cannot recommend Anna enough... she is a true role model for her fellow students!
Gavin was nominated by Coach Millwood for representing these mindsets: Attitude of Gratitude, Passion First, Everything is Possible. Here's what Coach Millwood had to say: Gavin shows exemplary character traits and sportsmanship during PE no matter the activity or outcome of the game. He is a team player.
Layne was nominated by Coach Millwood for representing these mindsets: Everything is Possible, Passion First, Attitude of Gratitude, 100% Accountable, Live to Give. Here's what Coach Millwood had to say: Layne is the definition of a student of the month. He is always trying to help in any way possible and never frowns. No matter the sport or lesson Layne is a team player.
Ms. Hagy was nominated by Dr. Simpson for representing these mindsets: Everything is Possible, 100% Accountable. Here's what Dr. Simpson had to say: Ms. Hagy has jumped right in at BASA. She is meeting with students and encouraging them that they CAN succeed. She is also holding them accountable when they don't do their part. I don't think we can accomplish our complete mission and purpose here at BASA without her.
