Emma Pitman publishes book to benefit BASA FFA Program

Emma Pitman, a BASA student and member of the BASA FFA program, has published a children's book titled, Just a Glass of Milk: The Story of a Girl and her Dairy Cow.

The book is a story about milk production and the importance of agricultural industry workers. Emma was inspired by her agriculture advisor, Mrs. Katlyn LaVelle Thomas. Through her positive relationship with Mrs. Thomas, Emma has developed a passion for showing dairy cattle. Emma also competes in scholarship pageantry, and every year she must choose a platform to promote. She chose to publish a children's book to raise awareness of the importance of agricultural industry workers. All of the proceeds from the book benefit the BASA FFA program.
