STEP PROGRAM

Student Transition Enrichment Program

In Barrow County, we believe that all students have the potential to live fulfilling and successful lives as productive members of society. Since 2016, the STEP Program has worked alongside students with disabilities as they transition to life after high school so that they can reach their true potential. Our passionate instructors work to enable students to become functional, independent and empowered in their employment, vocational, and social pursuits.  Our instructors develop and maintain rich relationships with each student and their families to meet their individual needs. Students participate in various job-type settings to become better equipped with both soft skills and practical job skills. Our goal is for students to leave the STEP program with the skills and confidence needed to step into adulthood.
