Sims Early College students who wish to build a strong foundation in the Construction Management Technology and Carpentry programs can do so through a dual enrollment partnership with Lanier Technical College.

The Sims construction cohort is designed for the student who wishes to prepare for a career in some aspect of construction supervision/carpentry industry. The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) programs provide background skills in several areas of construction. Supervision courses, print reading, project management, and accounting for construction businesses provide a core of management and supervisory courses leading to a NCCER Construction Management Degree, NCCER Carpentry Diploma or certificates.

The program will provide students with hands on carpentry classes giving students practical experience in the construction industry.

This program prepares graduates to receive two Technical Certificates of Credit (TCCs) from Lanier Technical College, which qualify them to work as automotive technicians:
