Dear Parents, Guardians, Students and Community Members,
The Georgia Behavioral Health Reform and Innovation Commission and the Mental Health Parity Collaborative are spreading the word about the provisions of the Mental Health Parity Act.
In 2022, Georgia passed a law ensuring public and private health insurance plans cover behavioral (mental) health at the same level as physical health. There is an effort to inform the public by creating a website, press releases, billboards, and posts on social media that explain the law.
