Congratulations to Dr. Jennifer Wood on her promotion to the CEO of Sims Academy and the Director of Career, Technical, Agricultural Education (CTAE). Dr. Wood has served as Director of Secondary Education for the past four years.
Dr. Wood has been with Barrow County School System for 17 years. She began her career here as a middle school teacher and then continued as an assistant principal and principal.
With her new role, she will oversee the development, implementation, and growth of curriculum and extracurricular activities for CTAE programs. She will also work with administrators to determine appropriate CTAE courses offered at middle and high school levels and coordinate Dual Enrollment and all work-based learning programs.
