Cultural Connections Field Trip Fun

students watching performance

Nearly 1,500 of our students and their teachers enjoyed an engaging performance of "The Bilingual Barber of Seville" on Oct. 24 at the Innovation Amphitheater. The Atlanta Opera Studio Tour entertained the crowd as part of the Cultural Connections Series.

The performers interacted with the audience and invited the students to ask questions after the show. So many hands raised to ask questions such as:

  • Do you ever lose your voice?
  • How did you train your voice?
  • Who made your costumes and shoes?
  • Did you actually kiss?
  • How did you learn to sing in Spanish?
  • How do you know what to do on stage?
  • How old are you?
  • Was there anything on the notes?
  • Do they (the performers) actually like each other?
  • Why do you dance in the show?
  • How old is the play?
  • Do your costumes get sweaty?

The performers say the students were a great audience and loved how engaged they were during the show.
