Nominations
PROJECT Nomination Guidelines:
- Each school may nominate exactly one top project per category and division.
- School advisors should submit one completed abstract form for each advancing project from their school.
- Project nominations will be accepted from November 1 until midnight on November 20.
- The November 20th nomination deadline cannot be extended, and late projects will not be accepted

To determine which projects to nominate, schools may choose to use this OFFICIAL PROJECT SCORING FORM.

Exemplary characteristics for each project category, are available for school use using this JUDGE'S SUPPLEMENT.
Abstract Instructions:
- Abstracts must be submitted using the official Barrow STC abstract form.
- Information on the abstract form must be typed and not handwritten. Hand-written forms will notbe accepted.
- Only one abstract should be submitted per project, not per team member.
- Only one category should be selected per project.
- Choose carefully. You will not be allowed to change this later.
- The abstract provides a brief description of your project that includes:
- The intended purpose of your project,
- The technology tools (hardware or software) that were used, and
- A summary of your creative process
- Be sure to download a copy of the Abstract Form response for safe-keeping.
NOMINATION PROCEDURES FOR SCHOOL ADVISORS:
- You will have access to your school’s Abstract Form responses in an Excel spreadsheet.
- Confirm the following information:
- Project Category
- Student and Parent/Guardian Contact Information
- If you choose to have your students complete the Abstract Form as part of your school’s competition, highlight the projects that are moving forward to the district competition in the spreadsheet.
- Confirm that you are only nominating one project per category and division.
- You will not need to print or email anything – TIG is handling the Abstract Forms.
