2026 Barrow Robotics at the Northeast Georgia League Tournament

The Barrow Robotics Program’s three high school FTC teams delivered an unforgettable performance at the Northeast Georgia League Tournament, hosted at East Jackson High School. Competing for coveted spots at the Georgia FTC State Championship, our students demonstrated exceptional skill, professionalism, and teamwork from the first qualifying match to the final round of the double-elimination playoff bracket.
After a full day of qualifying matches, judge presentations, pit interviews, alliance selections, and high‑pressure playoff rounds, Barrow County had plenty to celebrate—and every reason to start planning for more trophy‑case space. All three Barrow teams impressed the judges with their engineering portfolios, technical expertise, and team presentations, each earning a first‑place award in a different category of excellence.
-
Team 18597 RoboClovers–Delta earned the Think Award, recognizing their outstanding engineering portfolio and the depth of their technical documentation.
-
Team 21721 RoboClovers–Atlas received the Design Award, honoring their innovative robot design and the quality of their engineering process.
-
Team 27444 RoboClovers–Chronos brought home the Control Award, celebrating their advanced programming, sensor integration, and on‑field reliability.
Following 20 rounds of qualification matches, rankings were set for the 16 teams in the league. From there, four alliances were selected for the double‑elimination playoff bracket—and in a remarkable display of program-wide strength, all three Barrow teams advanced to the playoffs. They continued to compete at the highest level, ultimately finishing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the league.
-
Team 21721 RoboClovers–Atlas captured 1st place in partnership with Talon Tech in the Winning Alliance.
-
Team 27444 RoboClovers–Chronos secured 2nd place as captain of the Finalist Alliance.
-
Team 18597 RoboClovers–Delta battled through the consolation bracket to finish 3rd overall.
Once all advancement points were calculated, both Atlas and Chronos earned their place at the Georgia FTC State Championship, with Delta finishing just two points shy of completing a full program sweep—an achievement that would have been extraordinary at any tournament, let alone one as competitive as the Northeast Georgia League.
This across‑the‑board success is a testament not only to the dedication and talent of our students, but also to the strength of the Barrow Robotics Program, a partnership between the Barrow County School System and Barrow County 4‑H. Few programs in the state—or the nation—can claim such a dominant and well‑rounded showing across all teams.
The Georgia FTC State Championship will be held at Riverside Preparatory Academy on February 20–21, where our two advancing teams will compete for the opportunity to represent Barrow County on the world stage at the FIRST World Championship in Houston, Texas.
