Golden Radish Award

Barrow County School System has earned the Golden Radish Award for the last two years. School Nutrition Director Nicole Trunk was recognized for Barrow County School Nutrition’s farm-to-school achievements.

The Golden Radish Award is given to school districts in Georgia who are doing extraordinary work in farm-to-school. The award is presented by the Georgia Department of Education, Georgia Department of Agriculture, Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning, The Georgia Department of Public Health, the UGA Cooperative Extension, and Georgia Organics.
